Need a new PSU for Packard Bell

I have a Packard Bell IXTREME X8530. I switched the 8600gs to a 2600xt but my computer frequently crashes. I ordered an 8600gts but everywhere is saying I need a minimum PSU of 400w. I also read that Packard Bell use different PSUs to standard ATX but I don't know if that's true. What would be a reasonable PSU to buy for this computer to support this card?

P.S. I need to have some cable that hooks up to the graphics card and connects to either PSU or Mobo (Not sure) Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can they elaborate on exactly how that works?

The ATX form factor is a standard laid down by Intel, along with BTX, mATX etc.

I bought this PSU from Maplin last Friday which has proved a sound buy (for me at least):

However, I paid only £25..:-)

Seems the reduced price has been returned to the original £39.99 - you'll see from this Google link that the price was reduced last week.
