Need help to buy a Laptop!

My wife had our baby just four weeks ago but our desktop PC is in a tiny room which means she can't be on the PC and look after the baby at the same time.

We know how to use a computer but wouldn't know where to start in terms of buying one.

With the BT homehub we have access to Wi-Fi so I want to buy a laptop for my wife to use during the day which she can obviously carry anywhere in the house.

We only really need it for internet & email access as all our docs will be stored on the desktop.

She wants something that will be quick enough to not be annoying.

Please can you let me have your recommendations and suggestions. Our budget is around £400 but would obviously prefer to spend less.

Thanks,
Adtheblue
