NAV does not support the repair feature

Just set up a new Asus Laptop for a friend and Norton Internet Security 2005 came with a free 3 month trial pre-installed. Have loaded loads of software and suddenly this morning I get this:

NAV does not support the repair feature, Please uninstall and re-install. Which I don`t think I can do. Incidentally I refused NIS permission to disable the Windows XP firewall - is it grumbling or what?

I`ll try that and get back to you.

The problem is resolved. The last part of the article described how to put NAV start menu shortcuts back to their default locations in all users. I had moved them to cure the usual "clutter" on the start menu. Amazing that Norton insist these are left alone - Don`t think we`ll be keeping this after the three month trial.

**Don`t think we`ll be keeping this after the three month trial.**

I would because it's easily workedaround.

Copy the folder and place it where you want.

On the original folder set it's attribute to: Hidden.

Jobs a good'en.
