Any recomendations please. I'm looking at a WD My World Book or Buffalo Linkstation, both 1TB but the reviews of both are conflicting making it difficult - The WD has a review that suggests that Windows 7 is not compatible with the software that comes with it and that it is now an old product with no support? and the Buffalo has reports of being noisy? - or is there something else I've missed. Need to keep costs to about £120 max.

Currently using a qnap unit myself, but this is a lot dearer. |I have a friend using the buffalo unit you mentioned and he is more than happy with it, installation a breeze and no problems.Regarding noise you can put the unit anywhere as long as its connected to the network, so in theory that should not be a problem
