Ok, my wireless connection is working, how do I name it? Ie when people scan for network, how do I change the name that comes up?

Also, can I put a password on it? Thanks

You need to access the router settings , check the manual that came with the router ...which model are you using ?

Try and use a unique name for your network, something that does not discribe where it is or what make it is. Better still hide your wireless name.

Change your admin password for your router. (check manual or ask on here!).

Enable encryption, use WPA if you can and not WEP. (WEP is broken).
Use a long password that is not in any dictionary, get a nice long 63 letter password from the folowing site: -> click here

And if all that works great then the last thing you can do is enable MAC filtering. (check manual or ask on here!)

All of the above should give you nice strong wireless network!
