MyDoom Virus and Helproom

Over the last week I have been inundated with e.mails containing this virus. Obviously you have to open the attachment to get it but some just say 'click here' They have been from various e.mail addresses and also Animal Farm which seems to be a porn site or purporting to be. I have been getting on average 4 to 5 a day luckily my AV finds it and I delete them.
This got me thinking (very dangerous) I use the helpline a lot and have learned many things from it. When someone offers advice they put a web site to visit which comes up in blue as 'Click Here' Could some unscrupulous moron place a virus in a reply and when we innocently 'click here' we get it. Just a thought.

I agree. I recently visited a respectable website of a company offering computer related products and caught a virus. I phoned them and they knew it was there and were trying to remove it.

Correction. I didn;t actually catch it, but my AV warned it was there.

If you think 'probably' then you may be right. You have given good advice in the past.
Like the name - good one for this subject. Would this web site pick it up before we did I wonder.
Thanks for your comments
