I have a wireless router which is connected to another router then to the line..i'm not sure if it's called an access point

the wireless network is being recognized by other laptops except only mine....knowing that my laptop recognizes other networks but not this one...i solve the problem by resetting the 2 routers for several times until the laptop recognizes it...but it soon again after shutting down loses the newtrok and cannot recognize it again...

Try deleting your wireless profile ( XP ,view wireless networks , on left hand side\Change the order of preferred networks , Vista , network and sharing centre , Manage network connections ) reboot and try scanning for your home network again .
