My webcam works fine, until

I go in to Skype, Yahoo or MSN, it then freezes and eventually I have to reboot the PC just for it to work.
I have DSL, boardband 56K (I think)

If you only have 56k then you must be on a dialup connection - using audio with video will prove very difficult.

Re videos, download and install the standard K-Lite codecs pack from:

You may need to update your webcam software drivers
I had a problem with my logitech webcam and by uninstalling then re-installing using the logitech website and updating as sonn as I re-installed the problem was solved

Go to:

and test your broadband speeds (first is download, second is upload speed).

Skype can set your webcam configuration for use with it (Tools>Options>Video).

Stuartli, i tryed the skype vidio options, but as soon as I click to test cam it freezes, I'll check the drivers,I'm at work now (very busy) so I'll test the broadband speen when I get home. :)

If it's a USB webcam (most likely) then install the drivers before connecting the webcam.
