I have an old Teleswest Netgear router, which came with a USB adaptor.

The verison is MA111 802.11b Wireless adaptor.

I am going to by a new Netgear router, either the WGR614 or WGT624.

Can I use this USBadaptor with either of these router?

Thanks in advance

The 11b standard pre dates the widespread adoption of the WPA encryption protocol, so I would be surprised if this adapter supported it. I know that you didn't mention WPA, but I mentioned it because that alone would be a deal breaker, for reasons which will be obvious to regular readers of this forum.

If it supports WPA and your choice of router still supports legacy IEEE wifi standards (which most do) and you can live with the very slow transfer speed (slow enough in practice to limit some faster ADSL or cable services in some circumstances), then go ahead.
