My screen has lost it's colour

  strongbow14 18:13 22 Jan 09

We recently had a powercut and when i turned my desktop pc back on the screen is very dull, quite colour less, i checked the colour options on the pc and the screen and they are fine,
but when i pressed the auto format on teh screen colour set up the colours come back perfectly for a second, tehn go back to dull.

i think i remember this happening last time, and there was a powersave option or something like that, but i cant remember what it is, and on looking for the option for a number of hours i cant find it.

so does anyone have any idea how to solve this, thanks.

Screen make and model may help.

Someone with the same screen then may be able to answer your question.

Try shutting down your computer and screen, then switch the screen's power supply off completely, at the wall socket.

Leave for 20 seconds or so, then switch back on at the wall, switch on the monitor, then boot up the computer.

No guarantees, but it's worth a try.
