My Pictures in windows XP PRO

I would like to have windows look at another partion for my pictures and the like so if the worst came i cane still have access to them how do i get the start menu to look at the right folder

To move the My Documents folder from C: to D:, right-click on the My Documents icon in the start menu, then click on the Properties menu item. On my own PC, the target folder location was originally C:\Documents a n d S e t t i n g s \n 2 n d \M y Documents, where n2nd is my account name. Just change the C: to D: and click OK. You will be asked if you want to move the files with the folder, and the answer, of course, is yes. If you have more than one account on your PC, you must move the My Documents folder for each one.

Hi, another way to be sure you don't lose them - if you have cdrw, save the My Pictures folder and contents to CD.
