Many, many thanks to Music Lover and LotVic.My OE page has reappeared.
However when I try to open an unread Email I get "There was an error opening this message. An error has occurred"
Any further ideas,please?

I assume that this is a follow-on from another thread.

If so, a link to that thread would be useful

What did you do to make your OE page reappear?

It is hard to advise further without knowing what you have already done

Also please tick as resolved either this thread or the other one so that there is only one open for postings (it will save us all a lot of confusion)

Via experts in the Forum I was able to reacquire My OE page containing all my EM's.This by unticking the *.dbx files "Read me" boxes.I was unable to identify the dbx archive file as this should be the only one which is ticked.
I now find that I am not able to read my EM's.I get
"The address book failed to load.OE is incorrectly configured. Please reinstall"
Could this be because I was unable to identify "Archives" when unticking dbx files, please?

Archive = click on the 'Advanced' button next to 'Read Only' 'Hidden' boxes
there should be ticks in 'ready for archiving' and 'Indexing' boxes

Need some background info:
What happened to stop OE working in the first place?

Have you been importing *.dbx and wab (address book) to a previously working OE?

or what?

What is your OS? is it XP home, XP pro, etc?

Thank you Lotvic,
dbx boxes all have ticks in "Ready for archiving" and "Indexing" boxes.
I regret I am unable to answer your query re" what stopped OE" or "Importing."
I use XP home and,as you are,no doubt aware,I am a PC rabbit. My PC has a lot of free space and has a 2.0 gHz (?)memory.
It is frustrating to see Emails waiting without being able to visualise them.HELP!
