My network card will not work!

  TheTerminator 22:32 14 Feb 04

Can you help me? I have Packard Bell laptop running Win XP Pro. I have a wireless network which has until today never missed a beat. My computer has a cisco wireless network card in the PCMCIA slot. However today, every time I “log on” to the internet, the connection dies within 5 seconds of connecting. I have time to log onto msn messenger, then it dies on me, kicking me out. I tried changing network card, to a wireless one my house mate has, and that’s been fine all day, for 8 hours non stop.

Do you have any ideas what might be causing this?
