My computer icon

I have lost the "my computer" icon of my desktop, can anyone help me get it back.

My OS is XP home.

You could try system restor to a date when you had the icons on your desktop

Start,,look for "my computer sysmbol"and then right click and make sure a tick mark is in"show on desktop"

Forget My Computer, give this a try instead. Much better than My Computer. I use it all the time. Go to the PCA download page and scroll down to Utilities, File Management and download PowerDesk 5.0. It is on page 2. I just noticed there are 2, one dated March 2003 and one dated October 2003. I guess October is the latest.

Click on Start, then right click on the "My Computer" Icon, from the drop down menu, click on "Show on desktop" j.
