I have an aging XP computer and a number of times I have come back to it to find it has rebooted and says it has recovered from a serious error. When I report it it open explorer and tells me the following -

Address a problem with Intel Storage Driver (IdeChnDr.sys)
Intel Storage Driver (IdeChnDr.sys) has stopped working properly.

This product is no longer supported by the manufacturer.

Is there anything I can do? Or is it ok to just put up with it - sorry I am not techie!

Could be corrupt file or bad sector on HDD

I did a google search click here see if anything there that will fix it
