Is my CD-RW/DVD Atapti or Generic??

I have to re-install the driver for my cd-rw/dvd drive and i don't know if it is generic or atapti. The site i am downloading the driver from has both options. I have tried to read it when the computer starts up but it goes away too quickly. I am running Windows XP Pro. Is there a way of telling or finding out which one of the two my drive is? Thanks in advance for your help.

But if you go into Device Manager, it will list your drive and you can cross reference it. If you have a manual, it will probably be in there too.

Lastchip - How do you find device manager. Sorry a bit slow tonight :)

Right click My Computer; Hardware; Device Manager (I think!).

I haven't got an XP machine in front of me to check.
