My Address Line has been hi-jacked?

  BEANS 18:43 28 Sep 04

I cannot change my Address Line in Internet Explorer. No matter what I type into the Address Line, such as Google or whatever, and then try to make it the Home page using Tools,Internet Options, the Address returns to 'About:blank' and a site called "Web Site Directory International" appears. This site offers 'AntiSpy Ware' too!
The problem has recently appeared and I've tried every way to cure it, but no luck.
I am up to date September 27 2004 with Norton Anti Virus and also AdAware.
Any suggestions, please.
