I dont know about zip drives mate but I would disconnect the said drive and take the cover off. You might be able to release it then with a bit of poking!

Have you tried right clicking on your Zip Drive and click on Eject Disc.

Turn it off and remove the power before you do anything. It is quite likely that the drive itself may have been damaged but you won't know that till you have got the disc out! You could try using a very flat knife to slide it out. Not wishing to damage my own zip drive I can't tell you if this will work ;)
