Must computer network to share wireless router?

A friend has an XP computer connected via an ethernet cable to an Orange Livebox wireless router/adsl modem. He's now bought a Vista wireless enabled laptop that he wants to connect wirelessly to the internet via router.

However, he doesn't want the two computers to be networked to each other - he just wants them to share the internet connection.

Can anyone please tell me whether this is possible?

Then do not network the 2 comps.

Sorry if the question was stupid, Les2, but I didn't know whether router sharing was possible without networking. From your reply I guess it is.

Thank you.

Yes, two different things.

Yes...2 separate things.Once you are on the net then dont go any further to network.
