music match jukebox

My friend has a fairly new toshiba laptop with windows XP,when she trys to play an audio cd music match juke box activates and trys to connect to the internet via her dialup. She does not recall installing this program how can this be resolved, and is this a standard part of XP ?

No music match jukebox is not part of windows xp if you want the cd to play on windows media player and have that as your defult media player well go to Start - Set programs access and defults - Click on Microsoft Windows

and if that dosent work dont hesitate to ask again

Yes if you dont like musicmatch jukebox you can uninstall it it will not harm XP or your system
to uninstall go to

Start | Control Panel | Add or remove programs | and then look for music match jukebox then Change / Remove and then its pretty straight forward from their.

We have MM Jukebox on the pc at home. It came with either a Sony minidisc player or a Philips MP3. All these bits of software install themselves as the default media player if you don't untick the boxes when installing.

If you don't use it, just uninstall it using add/remove programs in control panel as Mark McC says
