Multivision Ionix 2600 April 2003 DVD problem

My DVD does not play. I have 2 MSI disks for the radeon 9500 card and power DVD. How do I set up my drive again? When I ask it to detect new hardware it cannot identify the drive. I don't know which bits of the disks to use. Any ideas? Or does anyone know of an ex-multivision tekkie?

Go into the device manager and remove the drive; then reboot. Windows should pick it up from there. If not, check the cables are all in place (it is a desktop?).

Failing that a new DVD rom may be necessary.

Any luck?
