I must admit I do not know a lot about those type of programs.
I usually just do a reformat as I have little to loose on my computer.
Being free I thought it may have been helpful to someone.

It seems like a good idea but not perhaps, for the average home user.

From what I can gather, it just memorises your keystrokes when re-installing your OS and/or your software programmes. Thus, the next time you have to reinstall, all your work will be automated. I can't quite work out if it will automate the installation of your programme passwords as well.

I would have thought that a mirror disk image would be easier to use.

I was thinking free is better than paying about £30 for Acronis.
Obviously they work differently.
But could be handy for those that cannot afford to pay for programs.

Yes, buteman, I see your point and agree completely.

It would be nice to hear from someone who has actually used it, if only to see if they had any problems. As some people have said, a video tutorial would be a good idea.
