Multiple Word docs open - how to set focus

Hi,

I have a macro that opens a new blank document and then runs some code.

However, if I have other docs already open, the new document does not have focus (is the active document). Therefore some (not all) of the code is applied to the active document that currently has focus.

Is there a way to make the new document the active document?

I'm on Word 2003.

Thanks.

(ps I can do a workaround that closes all open docs first and therefore by default leaving my new document the only document, but it isn't ideal).
