Multiple Networks

I am having trouble connecting to the internet.
BT Hub using ethernet connection
Windows 7

Looking at 'network and sharing centre' in control panel, it shows me as having a Home network and an 'unidentified' public network,
I have deleted all the networks shown except the BT Hub. I thought this had solved the problem but it still exists.
I read that changing the settings for the Bon Jour service would do the trick, but I have tried this as well.
I can get a wirless connection.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks.J

Are you perhaps connecting to the BT Hub simultaneously with both your "wired" ethernet adapter and "wireless" network adapter? This might explain the presence of the two networks.

Thank you for your reply. No I connect one or the other.
I am now trying to get this issue resolved in an other thread, so I will tick this thread as resolved.
