Multiple BT Home Hubs in the same house

I was having problems with the range on my BT Home Hub (latest black curved one), which meant that I was getting virtually no signal, so have connected up my old BT router (BT Voyager 2500V) to my PC via Ethernet.

This has solved the problem with my broadband and I'm now enjoying proper speeds again. However, it has also taken over my phone and TV service from the other home hub so I can't use them.

Does anyone know if it's possible to run a home hub in parallel with an old router?

and you can only connect one router to your BT broadband service at any one time.

I'm surprised to hear that you experienced difficulties with the curved, black home hub - I use this model myself at home, and it provides excellent wireless range and speed.

The original version of the BT Home hub has a Repeater mode

"The BT Home Hub is compatible with wireless repeaters supporting WDS (Wireless Distribution System). Adding repeaters to your home network can help extend the wireless range of your BT Home Hub."

not sure if it is still in the second version

I could not find it in the latest black coloured version though

Best source I know of home hub info here
