Ive had MSN Mess for a while now, and when i log onto the net it 1st loads Win Mess and then logs that out automatically before logging into MSN...

Ive tried just unticking the "auto log on" feature in the options, but it doesnt seem to work...

but i found this on the web, do you think its safe to do?

1) Go to Start > Run
2) Type this exact commando (you might wanna copy paste):

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove.

3) Oh my God, you killed Windows Messenger!

Is that ok do you think? and if i do it...do i put "cmd" and then space before entering it?

cheers

It's safe to do, many have done it and come through it.

No need for CMD.

If you have Service Pack 1 Installed you may recieve a message about OCX not unregistering or something like that(cant remeber). But do not worry its normal as you have SP1 installed.
