I want to have an audio chat using MSN messenger, but it wont work. I can type chat ok but when I accept a voice conversation nothing happens.

My Microphone and speakers are working fine.

I am using Windows me, NTL Broadband and I have zone alarm for a firewall. I have allowed MSN to be used as a server, but I still can't get it to work.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

It's Zonealarm causing this...

In zonealarm set the firewall to "Medium" or if that dosnt work set it to "LOW" (which is actually off).

Remember to turn it back on afterwards though.

I agree with Powerless, I had this problem with video calls on MSN, you can alter the settings in zonealarm which will allow the open ports to 'talk to each other'

Thanks guys I'll give that a try and see what happens. I don't really want to have to set it to low, as I seem to get loads of attacks.

I have found that Yahoo messenger is better for voice contacts. Much less audio feedback, and no problems with my Zone Alarm.
