could someone please tell me how i can remove msn messenger i cant remove it from add and remove as it is giving me a error and when i try to instal it again it tells me it has failed with error message code 1635

Start, Run type (or paste in)

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

and click OK

start-search click `all files and folders`,type in `msn messenger`.See if you can delete from there

i what you said and it is telling me it is not installed on the computer but it is and i cant get of so i can reinstall it any other help thanks leo

start/settings/control panel/add remove programms click on add remove windows components and untick windows messenger

If you have installed on more than one account you will have uninstall it from each account that you have it on. I know that this sounds daft but this the only that I could re-install MSN v7.5 messenger on my granddaughter's PC. MSN messenger was active on four accounts which all had administrative powers.
