Msimn.exe – Application Error

  oakwood 11:08 06 Dec 03

Every time I close Outlook Express I get a box with the following message:-

Msimn.exe – Application Error
The instruction at “0x77f5215e” referenced memory at “0x007f47ec” . The memory could not be “written”.
Click on OK to terminate the program.

I would be greatful if somebody can help.

This seems to be quite a common problem. You could try working through these ideas click here

Tried a few of the ideas, didn't fix.
However I have just opened OE from the XP start menu and it closed without the problem.
I deleted and then put back a shortcut to the desktop and the problem ocurred again using the shortcut.
Any ideas?

I've got the same problem on Windows 2000 Pro.

Sorry, last message sent too early. Continuing on I was going to say that I get the error if I open Outlook Express from the desktop shortcut. If I open it from the Internet Explorer toolbar I don't get the error.

I have added OE to quick launch taskbar, will use from now on.
Thanks for the help.
