I've been to this thread click here and I've had a look at the answer VoG gave. I have the same problem on my ME computer, but should I follow that process, even though it is for Office XP?

Any responce around about now would be good because I get really...I mean REALLY nervous...when it comes to doing things like this. I have my important files backed up, but I really think that something is going to go wrong.

Yes.Its about repairing the "Windows Installer" if your Office install gives that error.

Are you using Office 2002 (Office XP)

Then it's OK.

Otherwise you could try it but make a Restore Point first.

If you explain the exact problem first we can better advise.

AOL 8.0 which took a file with it (don't know how :S) when I uninstalled it. Anyway, it went without a hitch, and now AOL is of my system forever...thank god!
