I run a PC with a MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard with a 939 socket housing an Athlon 64 3200.Ever since I built it last year all has been well. However for no apparent reason all the audio connector sockets have gone dead except the fibre optic one which continues to function.I can hear a very faint signal in the line out connector on earphones but that is all.
The front connectors have ceased to work as well!
Any suggestions?

I am assuming you have digital surround sound?,if so have you ran the sound/speaker setup wizard.

First thing to try would be to reinstall the motherboard drivers in case they are corrupted.
