MSE or Windows Defender

Vista Home 32 bit Laptop

Can you advise please?
Should we be using mse or Windows defender or both together?

As I understand it, if you use MSE on Windows 7, it will switch off Windows Defender, so you cannot use both. I will stand correcting if I have misunderstood.

Andsome is correct MSE turns off Windows defender as parts of it are used on MSE so just use MSE.
You will need further protection Either Emisoft Anti Spyware or Superantispyware or Malwarebytes all are free and will back up your MSE if you run when required.
