Msconfig and Win2000 again

I've read the Wint post on this but would be grateful for reassurance from a current user of
this 3rd party MSCONFIG user of this utility before

I use it....OOOPs downloaded the software onto my XP machine yesterday( save to disc,)
and was just checking the info on it and it's already loaded onto my machine!!! ( if I click on the icon the system config utility" comes up, with all the usual tabs. How com and...is this a problem on my XP machine?

Windows XP comes with MSCONFIG. You don't need to download anything.

I didn't download it to put on the XP machine, but to save it on desktop for later transfer to other machine ( with win2000)via zip disc. Normally these are zipped files. This isn't, it executes on double-click.
Do you know if it works well on Win2000?

I got it from here, as recommended by Maj on 16/4, It states that one should put it into the system folder.
