when using msconfig i note that there are a lot of duplicate entries, which may or may not be checked. How do I totally remove the duplicate and old entries permenantly?

Hi Belfix

I would like to know the answer to that too so if there's anyone out there that is clued up on this sort of thing we'd both love to hear from you.

You need to edit the Registry, so make sure you backup the Registry first before making any changes.

Have a look at these links, where full details are provided:

Best way if you can is to reinstall whatever made the entries make sure they are ticked in msconfig then uninstall the app this should remove the entries as well.
