I generally work on a black window on my computer because of sight problems.

I have a Sony Vaio and use Windows XP home edition which I had to reinstall from the Sony systems recovery CD-ROM. The previous install was one by Sony when the machine was returned to them because of I could not access my files.

When it was returned many of the windows on the web had my customised window setting, for example the Google and Gmail windows.

Now, however, after a reinstall of the software, these windows no longer adapt to my settings.

Is there anything I can do to restore them or is this the result of the software used by Sony.

How can I contact them to acquire it?

Many thanks.

Go to Start>Control Panel> Accessibility Options and select the third tab - Display. Tick the High Contrast box and then the settings button - It is probably set to High Contrast Black Large by default. Does that have the desired effect?

This isn't quite the same as the previous option but better than what I have been using, thanks.
