MS WORD - Tools > Options error

Al;though I set the Tools Options to spellcheck words in uppercase and words containing numbers these settings are not saved - nor other settings regarding quick saves. what is the problem, and how can I remedy it?

I run Word 2003

If you have previously saved your settings then try this - Tools - Microsoft Office 2003 - My Settings Wizard. You should get the option to "restore previous saved settings to this machine"

There's the option of a Registry Edit as a possible solution to your problem link text

I don't know if this works in 2003 but if you have a look in Control Panel - Add/Remove programs (XP) or Programs & Features (Win7) highlight your MS Office 2003 program in the list and you should get the option to repair.

Repair - ie: uninstall/change - choose change.

Have you tried the repair option as suggested?

Ex plorer, its in: Word 2003 | Tools | Options | Spelling & Grammar tab | and tick or untick the various options listed - 'Ignore words in UPPERCASE' 'Ignore words with numbers' etc. Don't forget to Click on OK when finished.

lotvic OK got yer yes they are both ticked in mine and as you say just OK them and they are saved.
