MS Word Time and date formats

Is there any way of customizing the time and date formats available in MS Word (I am using Word 2000), as you can in Excel? For example I can't see a way of making today's date show up as "Tuesday, 1 April 2003" - the nearest option is "Tuesday, 01 April 2003".

I do not know of any way of customising this any further. Seriously though what is wrong with the 01 showing instead of 1. I think that the logic is that the number of days in a month is maximum two digits, so two digits are always shown. It would only take a couple of seconds if this is a major irritation to create a curser after the 0 and backtrack to take it out.
