  19faupel45 16:12 04 Mar 10

I have a number of recipients telling me that they cannot open MS word documents. So I sent one to my own adddress and found that it had been transmitted as "Nero Smart suite"

Never seen this before. Any ideas.

I am new to this forum so hope you can help.

Not quite sure what you mean when you say that it has been transmitted "as Nero Smart Suite". Where does this appear in the document?

Presumably you are attaching a Word document to an email? If the recipients don't have Word installed they probably won't be able to open the file with a .doc extension. They can always down load the free Microsoft Word Viewer or another program such as Open Office.

You mean the file and/or extension name had been changed?

From what to what exactly?
