ms word and DDE

hi Everyone,
I have done something to MS word 2002 and when I click on a word document in my computer it opens Word, but at a new doc, not the document I clicked. I notice that on right clicking the document a new option "open without DDE" is available - I tried that, but it makes no difference.

The only DDE info I could see on the microsoft site related to Access. google has only offered 1 site and that seems to be in polish, but it looks as though the fix I did to make my hyperlinks work MS knowledge base 218153, may be responsible, but my Polish is too poor to understand it all.

Can anyone advise me, please

DDE allows bi-directional communication
between two applications, looks like your might be corrupted. First try the repair option in Word its under help.
