ms update contains spyware

does any one know if the microsoft update to do with realtek contains spyware as a new name has appeared in my task manager. ( ALCXMNTR.EXE ) I have check it out on google and most sites says it is I have tryed a removal tool but its not finding it can some one help advise please.

suggests to leave it alone, check where it is found on your system and check the properties of it, vendor etc if it is M$ then it is legitimate.

can I disable the ALCXMNTR.EXE if so how

To disable the process, go to RUN > MSCONFIG > Startup, and look for the entry there.
To stop it running the next time you boot, just untick it.
If you ever want anything back, then just tick the box again.
