I'm using Win XP Pro. Outlook has been infected with some kind of worm but I can't figure out which one. Symptoms are :
1. If I tri to use the program it tries to access my address book
2. I can't load Norton Anti Virus
3. I'm getting 'Runtime' errors that I didn't have before but only on the internet

Does anyone have any ideas ?

I've already used the Norton web site to scan the system and have run their primary worm removal tools - Badtrans etc. but - haven't found it yet

Try and reboot your PC with the Norton Rescue Disk in the CD-ROM drive. If your AV is up to date it should remove it.

Finally had to do a Win XP full repair. One of the suggestions actually found a virus - 'Wallpaper Killer' by name but - deleting it didn't help. The damage was already done. Tks anyway guys
