MS Outlook Error

I had a previous version of Outlook installed on my PC and had to remove it. I've since purchased a new version including a new license key. However, when loading the programme it displays the following message "unable to open your system default folder", and then i'm left with the drive options?

It must have something to do with the previous version i.e. a file that needs deleting?

I'm running Windows XP 'home'.

I'd be grateful for some help.

I think that your best bet is to run a system file check, go to Start/Run, type sfc /scannow (make sure you leave a space between sfc and /. You may need XP Disc.
