I have been using a machine for some months now with Outlook on it as opposed to Outlook Express.

I have decided to install Outlook on my home machine and get the following error message when i try to run it.

Unable to open default e mail folders. DLL file unable to be found. MAPI unable to load the information service pstprx.dll

Be sure the service is currently installed and configured.

The version of outlook i am trying to run came with Office XP.

What am i doing wrong and how can i rectify this

downloaded Office XP service pack 1.

That may cure the problem.

Do you mean your computer would not download the file?

I just tried the page and it downloaded no problem; No reference to contacting Microsoft.

Here's the link;

click here

(bottom of the page for the download).
