MS Office toolbar goes AWOL

Not life-threatening but an irritating mystery on my pooter running Win 98SE. After booting up my MS Office toolbar leaps onto the desktop then happily lurkes out of sight at the top of the screen until needed. Nothing abnormal here.

But if not accessed for a while, the toolbar fails to materialize when wanted. Any ideas on why it does this? The only way I have found to make it come back to life is to switch off and re-boot.

Not sure if it is of any help but I found that when my MS bar disappears up it's own wotsit, hitting the windows key makes it reappear (along with the taskbar). Also, some application windows stop it from apearing if they overlap the edge of the screen where the bar is lurking (autohide).
