MS Office settings save

  osben 19:08 27 Sep 08

I am just updating my 2002 XP pro to 2003 XP pro. I have tried 2007 and
can't get on with it.

Am I correct in assuming that I will have to completely delete the 2002
version and then install the new 2003 version or what?

Also can I save my settings from 2002 version and then load them into the
2003 version. Things such as the configuration of the tool bar etc. I know
I can do it if within 2002 but from 2002 to 2003 is my question.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

During the install you will be prompted whether to remove the 2002 version - I recommend that you do (you will have to remove Outlook 2002 - there's no choice with that).

Before you upgrade to 2003, search for the files and Excel.xlb and save copies somewhere. Then after the installation, search for the files again and replace them with the old ones that you saved. You will need to enable searching for hidden files and folders to find them.
