MS Money 2003 won't convert 2000 files

I've just installed MS Money 2003, and presumed, wrongly as it's turned out, that I could import my Money 2000 files.

Each try I to, I'm to Money can't convert them as they are incompatible. I've not had this before each time I've upgraded to a newer version. Although previously, there was never any more than two versions difference. Should I have bought 2002 first, converted my files to them and then, bought 2003? Has this been done deliberately by Mr Gates, to ensure that if you upgrade, you're going to have to it annually.

I think I'll take a took at Intuit's Quickbooks!

Any version of Money will automatically import/convert an older version of a Money file.

sssshhhh don't tell biggles ;-)

I didn't have any problems going from very old version of Money (1995 era) to Money 2000 and then to Money 2003.

Are you getting error messages or something when you do try to convert it?
