hi all,
I want to create a box where for example choosing operating system a drop down menu would pop up with all os's or similiar with check boxes by only allowing me to put a tick in one box.
I have been sat here an hour now trying to find it

thanks all in advance

check boxes that only allow a tick in ONE box are usually radio buttons.

Just looked at Access not being too familiar with it.. and the thing you want is an 'option group', in which to place your check boxes.. they then behave like radion buttons.

does anyone know how to create an option group?

I found the previous out by using the Access help. It explains in there how to create and use an option group. Just look under 'what is an option group' in the index.
