mp3's jump in Windows media player

Hi All,

When I listen to my MP3's they skip every now and then, like the HDD is skipping or not playing fast enough for WMP.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are these on your hard drive or on another medium like a CD or something?

I assume you are sure they are copied correctly and faultlessly.

Thanx for the reply. Yes they have been copied fine and the skipping doesn't occur in the same spot on a track so Im assuming they are copied fine. I was wondering if its something to do with the speed of the HDD versus the bitrate on WMP.

Anyone know anything about this ?

I think it's unlikely to be related to HDD speed. It is more likely that the speed of other compnents on your system ie. cpu speed, amount or memory, is lacking. Try closing all other programs which run in the background and see if the problems stops
