just recently i have been having problems deleteing stuff from both of my mp3 players on both of my PCs.

when i try to do this i get the message saying that it wont let me as a program could still be using that file. i get this even when i know nothing should be using it.

this is driveing me nuts - any ideas what could be causing this?

as i said, this now happens on both PCs & both mp3 players. it never used to do this.

thanks for any help,

thanks for a quick reply.
the unlocker program has allowed me to delete files...

but this now happens to many files (mainly mp3 i think) on my hard drives as well as on my mp3 players.

anyone know what's causing this - it's a real pain to have to keep using an unlocker program every time i delete, move or rename something.

thanks again,

try right clicking on the folder that contains the files, then select "properties" and make sure that the contents are not ticked as "read only".

thanks, but i've already tried that.

the problem also happens on my PCs hard drives, not just the mp3 players.

any other ideas?
