MP3 to MP4

I want to convert mp3 files to mp4 (mp3 won't playback through the TV).

I know there are lots of on-line facilities available but my BT broadband is so flakey that I would prefer to use installed software, preferably something that doesn't take longer to convert than the file does to play.

Any recommendations?

I use Format Factory. It converts almost any file. If you decide to try it keep a beady eye on the installation process as usual.

filehippo link.

Also if you have the up-to-date Audacity program on your PC already you could record the songs and use the export feature. You would need to install the optional FFmpeg library codec, click here

Thanks. I've installed the programme, now working out how to use it!

I'm trying to convert a radio podcast so that it will play from an SD card facility on a television.

It's not a smart TV and there is no broadband connection anyway.

As MP4 is a video file try the audio heading in FF (left hand side) and convert one file to WMA. You have another ten audio formats to try. You could search as to what audio formats your TV supports.

Final update

Thanks. Changed the format successfully.
